If you have read or listened to the news you will hear that its wheat gluten. We have no controll where the companys get there food and its not matter of if your rich or poor. Its meau foods who is repboble.
The melamine could be grown, and in fact, is grown here, but the company found it cheaper to buy from China. A deadly mistake which will cost them. Another corporate screw up.
We had better be careful when we buy chemicals and raw materials from China. This is not the first time that products from China have caused problems. In 1995 the Chinese supplied glycerin to a company in Haiti that made children's medicine. The glycerin was contaminated with an anti-freeze like substance and 96 children died. The verdict was they did it to increase their profit because the anti-freeze looked like glycerin but was cheaper. China does not really care about monitoring their manufacturers and we are paying the price. Trading with China is bad business!

my dog eats what we eat most of the time, so i do not have a problem, was this in USA?
Dog food is bad for dogs, not one dog i have ever had has done well on dog food , they have bad reactions to it, it is all bad stuff in the tins!
Rice, vegetables, fruit and meat, real meat, that's what my dogs get fed!
then i know it is fresh, nutritious, and good for them.
At the moment i have a 6 year old english springer and she is in perfect health!
