Maybe it's the texture. I like cherries but I hate chocolate covered ones because they are all squishy and gross inside. I used to hate tomatoes as a kid and love ketchup now I am ok with both.

Cherry candy and real cherries taste nothing alike. I dont really like cherries either.
I dont like grape flavored candy or juice, but i love real grapes. its wierd…. lol

well with cherries, cherry flavored food has a cherry-esque flavor with other added sweeteners and ingredients. A cherry lollipop doesn't taste like a real cherry. Same with ketchup (which has onion powder and all sorts of other spices.)

Frankly, they don't taste the same.
I'm like that with banana flavored candy, I think it's gross but I like bananas.

probably because the flavour of REAL cherries is stronger than the sweet artifical flavour of cherry flavoured candy… like i HATE tomatoes , but i LOVE tomato sauce!!!

i think its b/c of the ARTIFICIALLY flavoring. cherries have the natural taste but cherry flavored candy tastes alot diffrent then the fruit.lol its like u said with ketchup…the fruit is (yes tomatoes are fruits) a diffrent flavor b/c flavoring and ingredents are added to the real thing to make the ketchup or whatever it is being made. u see how lemonade is made with shugar and other stuff being added to the lemons.
