Why do Mexicans in Mexico think ‘taco-bell’ is American junk food & Americans in USA think it is Mexican food?

  Because it is loosely based of of traditional Latin food. I however know the difference. That being said, I love me a grilled stuff burrito, especially after a bender!

  Mexicans think that beause there isn’t such thing in Mexido, their tacos are very very different from the ones in taco bell
  Americans might think that because they don’t really know that it isn’t what they think it is, or they haven’t gotten the chance of eating the real tacos

  Its simple.

  Taco- bell in Mexico doesnt ring a bell, they think it belongs to Bell Clinton so its all American…

  And Americans are misinformed like in every thing else, like they also think saddam is a madman, Bush is a saviour, India has too many laptop cows and peking is the capital of China as the river Nile was dug by Romans.

  Have yet to meet a single American who believes Taco Bell or Del Taco actually serves mexican food.

  Because it IS AmeriKan junk food. I have lived in Mexico for a few months at a time over the past 10 years and I can tell you FOR A FACT… that REAL MEXICAN FOOD is NOTHING like that slop AmeriKans get at Taco-Bell and think they are eating real Mexican food.

  They don't even CALL THEIR FOOD by the RIGHT NAME. AmeriKans don't know that a BURRITO is DEEP FRIED and has meat in it… a BURRITA is deep fried and does not have meat in it… that a TACO is NOT deep fried and that REAL salsa doesn't give you heartburn.

  Mexicans typically do not know taco bell. Americans typically do not know authentic Mexican food.

  Well I think because, “taco bell” its like an imitation of Mexican food but in an America way..

  the food its very different like does Gorditas they do there, its totally different like what Mexican do.
  The Tacos, are very very Different too.

  LOL, I am mexican, I live in Monterrey, I often visit the USA.

  Last July, my daughters asked me they wanted to eat at Taco Bell in San Antonio… it was simply ¡¡¡¡¡frightful!!!!

  It was anything but mexican food…

  Where on earth do the tacos go with yellow cheese?

  The best we can do is:

  Mexican do mexican food.
  Americans do american food.

  It is better.
