Also have you noticed that in all the movies they have an asian guy delivering chinese food, yet in Cleveland there are no chinese restaurants that deliver. I know I can get pizza or chicken wings delivered. Is this ironic or just cleveland?

I'm in Philadelphia - we have plenty of chinese food restaurants that deliver. Maybe it's just the "tradition" of places in Cleveland.

There are chinese delivery places here everywhere. Maybe they call it take out because they have a hard time with english and that seems most logical to them.

Do you mean, why do they refer to it as "take out" rather than pick-up? If so…that is a funny question. idk the answer but ya made me laugh.

I call everything carry out. But you are right, in the movies Chinese food is referred to as chinese take out.
I think when it was new it was something obscure or considered high end..so they had to call it something that sounded classier than "to go"…like you would say at Mickey D's.
Just a guess.
