Why is it more socially acceptable to drink cows' milk instead of human milk?

Now I personally don't enjoy drinking any milk… but I have always wondered why, after a certain age, it is seen as gross to drink human milk but essential to drink the milk of another species (i.e. cow, or goat). AND how come it is only cows' (or goats')) milk but not a dog or a pig or something? Surely it'd be more convenient to drink human milk because many women could make money from it and lots of people would be able to have it for free! lol…
LOL! *Pats Erik_24 on the head* All animals, including humans, produce milk after they have a baby and continue producing until there is no more suckling.
Heh don't worry Erik… we all get those moments. Once, I seriously thought portugal was next to Sweden!

There's just something eerie about harvesting all our milk from humans… maybe it plays into a sort of less intense taboo of cannibalism?

      Edit: Oops, sorry. Didn't know.

FYI: cows do not produce milk all the time, only for a period of time once she has had a calf.
